# ConstantOptions Interface and Constant Configuration Instructions

## Overview

The `ConstantOptions` interface defines an options object used to override the configuration items in the `constants` section of the `cc.config.json` configuration file. These configuration values will affect how TypeScript declaration files are generated.

## Interface Definition

```typescript
interface ConstantOptions {
  mode: ModeType;
  platform: PlatformType;
  flags: Partial<Record<FlagType, ValueType>>;
}
```

## Property Description

### mode
- **Type**: `ModeType`
- **Description**: Specifies the current running mode (e.g., development, testing, production, etc.)

### platform
- **Type**: `PlatformType`
- **Description**: Specifies the target platform (e.g., Web, iOS, Android, etc.)

### flags
- **Type**: `Partial<Record<FlagType, ValueType>>`
- **Description**: A flags configuration object containing a series of optional feature flags

## Configuration Override Rules

1. Configuration values defined in `ConstantOptions` will **override** the corresponding configurations in the `constants` section of the `cc.config.json` file
2. Overriding follows a deep merge strategy, where object-type configuration items are recursively merged
3. Array-type configuration items are completely replaced rather than merged

## Type Declaration Generation Rules

For items in the `flags` object with a value of `true`, the system will generate type declarations according to the following rules:

```typescript
// The generated declarations will be output to: bin/.declarations/cc.editor.d.ts
declare module 'cc/editor/populate-internal-constants' {
  export const ${flagName}: ${valueType};
  // More declarations...
}
```

## Examples

### Configuration Example
```typescript
const options: ConstantOptions = {
    platform: 'NODEJS',
    mode: 'EDITOR',
    flags: {
        DEBUG: true,
        USE_XR: true,
    },
};
```

### Generated Type Declaration Example
```typescript
// File: bin/.declarations/cc.editor.d.ts
declare module 'cc/editor/populate-internal-constants' {
    /**
     * Running in the Node.js environment.
     */
    export const NODEJS: boolean;
    /**
     * Running debug mode.
     */
    export const DEBUG: boolean;
    /**
     * An internal constant to indicate whether we're using xr module.
     */
    export const USE_XR: boolean;
}
```

## Notes

1. Only flags with a value of `true` will be exported to the type declaration file
2. The value type (`ValueType`) will determine the TypeScript type of the exported constant
3. The configuration override process is executed at build time and does not affect runtime performance
4. Ensure that the `cc.config.json` file exists and contains valid `constants` configuration
